Ever since the first Fredrik Backman book, he became one of my all time favorite authors. I love his dark humor, his very empathetic character building and how observant he is of little things in life.
This is a short review of the 5 Backmans I’ve read so far. enjoy!
Anxious People was my 2020 best fiction choice. The story unfolds like an onion, with each layer offering more back story and makes you question how different people really are from each other.
I was extremely impressed with how Backman was able to create so many characters and give them…

In this post, I will walk you through the preparation steps that enable you to schedule a containerized machine learning model as a batch job on AWS. It is the second part of this post series, which assumes you have finished the first 2 steps in Part 1 to create a
Dockerfile and build a container image.
To understand what are you preparing for, eventually, we will be using AWS Batch to schedule the ML job.
AWS Batch executes jobs as Docker containers using Elastic Container Service (ECS). It dynamically provisions the optimal quantity and type of compute resources (e.g…
This is my notes for Trey Hunner’s talk on Python readability from PyCon 2017. The slides are available here but I think the content will be easier to consume because there are many before-and-after comparison examples. All credit goes to @treyhunner and a big shoutout to his Python Morsels training.
In this 30 min talk, Trey talked about how to make your code easier to read, including better use whitespaces, line breaks, code structure, naming concepts, choosing the right construct and many more.
